The Physical Society of University of Peradeniya has become one of the most active student societies in the Faculty of Science. The main secret behind the success is the unity of its members in all the activities and functions. Our Physics undergraduates have shown that they have a born talent not only for studying physics but also practicing it throughout the life. As the final task of the series of various important events organized by the present office bearers the publication of ECHO magazine has been scheduled.
As the Senior Treasurer of the Physical Society I appreciate all the work of the team during the year. I kindly request the support of our past graduates who have become successful in their carrier to uplift activities of the society.
Through Physical Society I could add so much to my knowledge by attending to its guest lecture series. The lectures were quite interesting and it was inspirational to see the idols of the field discussing their scientific achievements. The lectures also are quite an aspiration to young physicists such as myself to work hard and thrive from a humble beginning.
